Asymptotic behavior of a thermoviscoelastic plate with memory effects
We consider a coupled linear system describing a thermoviscoelastic plate with hereditary effects. The system consists of a hyperbolic integrodifferential equation, governing the temperature, which is linearly coupled with the partial differential equation ruling the evolution of the vertical deflection, presenting a convolution term accounting for memory effects. It is also assumed that the th...
متن کاملDynamic Behavior Analysis of a Geometrically Nonlinear Plate Subjected to a Moving Load
In this paper, the nonlinear dynamical behavior of an isotropic rectangular plate, simply supported on all edges under influence of a moving mass and as well as an equivalent concentrated force is studied. The governing nonlinear coupled PDEs of motion are derived by energy method using Hamilton’s principle based on the large deflection theory in conjuncture with the von-Karman strain-displacem...
متن کاملOn the Existence of Exponentially Decreasing Solutions of the Nonlinear Landau Damping Problem
In this paper we prove the existence of a large class of periodic solutions of the Vlasov-Poisson in one space dimension that decay exponentially as t → ∞. The exponential decay is well known for the linearized version of the Landau damping problem. The results in this paper provide the first example of solutions of the whole nonlinear Vlasov-Poisson system that exhibit such rate of decay.
متن کاملThe longtime behavior of branching random walkin a catalytic
Consider a countable collection (t) of particles located on a countable group, performing a critical branching random walk where the branching rate of a particle is given by a random medium uctuating both in space and time. Here we study the case where the time{space random medium (t) (called catalyst) is also a critical branching random walk evolving autonomously while the local branching rate...
متن کاملOn a Difference Equation with Exponentially Decreasing Nonlinearity
We establish a necessary and sufficient condition for global stability of the nonlinear discrete red blood cells survival model and demonstrate that local asymptotic stability implies global stability. Oscillation and solution bounds are investigated. We also show that, for different values of the parameters, the solution exhibits some time-varying dynamics, that is, if the system is moved in a...
